Privacy Policy

TL;DR:We collect your Google account info and mobile number to create your account. We store your questions to track usage. We don't sell your data. We don't spam you.

1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service:

Name & Email
From your Google account when you sign in via Google Sign-In.
Profile Photo
From your Google account. Google collects and hosts this photo, and provides its URL reference to Firebase Auth. Seat Genie only references this URL client-side to display your avatar; we do not copy, upload, or host your image file on our servers.
Mobile Number
Entered by you during profile setup. Used only to ensure one account per person.
Exam Preference
TS EAPCET / AP EAPCET selection. Used to personalise AI answers.
Question Count
Number of questions used and purchased. Used to enforce plan limits.
Questions Asked
The text of questions sent to the AI. Used to generate responses. Not reviewed by humans unless you report a bug.
Payment Records
Payment is processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and the amount — not your card or bank details.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account — your name, email, and phone are stored in Firebase Firestore.
  • To enforce usage limits — we track how many questions you've used vs. purchased.
  • To answer your questions — your messages are sent to the Google Gemini AI API to generate responses.
  • To prevent abuse — mobile number uniqueness prevents duplicate accounts.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google)
Authentication and database. Your profile data is stored here. Firebase Privacy Policy
Google Gemini AI
Powers the AI answers. Your questions are sent to Gemini for processing. Google Privacy Policy
Razorpay
Processes payments. We never see your card or bank details. Razorpay Privacy Policy

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account exists. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, email us at tech.team.svti@gmail.com📋 Email Copied! and we will delete it within 7 working days.

Note: deleting your account will forfeit any unused purchased questions, and no refund will be provided.

6. Cookies

We use Firebase Authentication, which stores a session token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account immediately.

8. Your Rights

You may at any time:

  • Access your data — view it on the Profile page.
  • Correct your data — contact us to update your name or phone.
  • Delete your data — email us to request account deletion.
  • Sign out — use the Sign Out option in the navbar or profile page.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
